PBI
was formed by Jeffrey Parks in 1998, after serving as the Director
of Training and Performance Improvement for the entire U.S. Coast
Guard. During this tenure, Mr. Parks also served as the Coast Guards
Leadership Training Manager and led the Service in the development
of its first-ever set of core values.
PBI,
under Mr. Parks, has conducted numerous High Performance Organization
reviews and has facilitated the implementation of the associated
recommendations. Over the years, PBI has completed many successful
Executive and Career/Life Coaching engagements (see
comments). Recently, PBI in partnership with the U.S. Foundation
for Performance Measurement, has facilitated the build of several
large-scale Balanced Scorecards and Strategic Management Systems.
We have presentations and courses on all aspects (see the puzzle
on the Organization Metrics page) of building and sustaining High
Performance Organizations and High Performance Teams.
Mr.
Parks is an active member of the International Society for Performance
Improvement (ISPI). He was chosen as the Potomac (Washington D.C.)
Chapter Volunteer of the Year in 1993 and served as Chapter President
from 1996-1997. He conceptualized and led the Potomac Chapter in
a Community Service Project with the Arlington-Alexandria Coalition
of the Homeless that won a national ISPI award. He holds a Masters
Degree in Education - specializing in Guidance and Counseling, and
is certified in Strategic Change Management by the Centre for Strategic
